Last weekend I went up to Napa Valley for an event at my friend’s family home. I kind of wish I would have taken more photos (it’s so gorgeous there!), but instead decided to stay away from my phone (/camera) for most of the trip. I love taking pictures, but sometimes I find I get caught up in trying to make things look good through a lens as opposed to really taking in the moment. I think there’s something to be said about detaching from the idea that you have to capture every great thing on your iPhone, and instead make an effort to capture memories shared with friends, family, and places to their fullest potential by being completely present and gadget free.
That being said, here are a few from the very limited photos I did take while doing a tasting at Pine Ridge-
